if you must really know silver makes whatever its touching turn red and sometimes peel or itch depending on the severity of the case. this is extremely hilarious when your grandmother buys you a crucifix, and it has been blessed by the priest from her hometown church. YEP you guessed it i turned red and it BURNED!! and the wax just makes me brake out in hives. i need to ask for hypoallergenic wax. hey least i'm not allergic to latex
