i was inclass on tuesday and the teacher started talking about space and nature and how the two affect architecture and the behavior in humans, i thought about it and it made sense. when we are in nature we are back to were we originated, as a predator struggling for survival. when we are in a built environment humans control everything even nature. we try to keep the lawn short so it doesnt turn into a savanah and we plant trees with wires and straps around them. the tree wont go anywhere so why do it? its just humanity trying so hard to control the uncontrollable because sooner or later that hurricane or earthquake is going to hit and our buildings are the ones that will come down crumbling not the trees. anyways it was something we had to reflect on and i just did.
